About

Join us for an in-person signing with artists CFGNY, Kim Gordon, and Bill Nace at Amant’s bookstore and café to celebrate the release of our newest publications, CFGNY: Collecting Finding Generating NY and Kim Gordon: Count Your Chickens, which includes an 80-page insert dedicated to Folded Group, the group exhibition Gordon organized with her long-time collaborator Bill Nace. Don’t miss the chance to mingle with the artists, contributors, and book designers over drinks and browse Amant’s curated selection of books.

Published in conjunction with Amant’s Spring 2026 exhibition Puddles into Pond, the monograph CFGNY: Collecting Finding Generating NY is the first comprehensive survey of the collective’s work to date. Drawing on a decade of conversation around their practice, the essays place CFGNY’s projects within broader discussions of fashion, authorship, identity, and cultural circulation. Richly illustrated, contributors to this volume include CFGNY, Kyle Dancewicz, Laura Serejo Genes and Kiyoto Koseki, Min Sun Jeon, Tiffany Lambert, Cynthia Leung, and Alexander Provan.

Kim Gordon: Count Your Chickens accompanies Gordon’s solo exhibition of the same name at Amant and surveys her practice through the works on view. Texts by Josephine Pryde, Branden Joseph, John Kelsey and Tobi Maier consider her work in relation to popular culture, music, authorship, and collaboration. Tucked inside is Folded Group, a book made for the group exhibition co-curated by Kim Gordon and Bill Nace at Amant’s AZ gallery. Alongside installation views, Folded Group includes an introduction by Patricia Margarita Hernández and Ariana Kalliga and a roundtable conversation with Kim Gordon, Bill Nace, John Olson, Dennis Tyfus, and Alivia Zivich. Both volumes include never-before-seen ephemera and archival material related to the artists’ collaborations and visual and sonic practices throughout the years.

Copies of the books will be available for purchase at the bookstore. This holiday season’s book launch also offers the chance to explore Amant’s collection of artist publications, books, magazines, and postcards.
